A brief history of  Earth.... Conventional

1) Hadean Eon 4.5 - 3.9 billion BC... the earth is formed as a solid planet

2) Archean Eon ...  3.9-2.5 billion BC ... The Earth's permanent crust is formed.  Volcanic outgassing create the oceans and atmosphere. The earliest life  forms evolve in the seas.

3) Proterozoic Eon ...  2.5 billion years BC-540 million BC ...A supercontinent  forms approximately 1.1 billion years ago.   Oxygen levels increase as life on Earth develops the ability to obtain energy through photosynthesis.

4) Cambrian Period ...  540-490 million BC ... The super continent begins to break up into northern and southern portions. Marine metazoans with mineralized
skeletons  flourish.

5) Ordovician Period ...  490-443 million BC ... The first early vertebrates evolve. Late in the Ordovician Period, mass extinctions of marine life occurs.

6) Silurian Period ...  443-417 million BC ... North America, Europe, and Asian land are situated on or near the equator.  Fish evolve jaws. Late in the Silurian Period,
the first sharks appear.

7) Devonian Period ...  417-354 million BC ... Europe and North America ae positioned around the equator. Africa and South America are positioned over the South Pole.
The first air-breathing arthropods (spiders and mites) evolve on land.  Amphibians evolve and venture onto land. Plant life develops and spreads over the planet.

8) Carboniferous Period ...  354-290 million BC ... Global climatic change result in a long interval of glaciation in the southern hemisphere. Insects flourish, reptiles evolve.
Land environments are dominated by plants, from small, shrubby growths to tall trees.

9) Permian Period ... 290-248 million BC ... Once again a  single supercontinent  forms as  land masses collide and merge. Extensive glaciation persists in what is now India, Australia, and Antarctica. Hot, dry conditions prevail elsewhere  and deserts become widespread.

10) Triassic Period ...  248-206 million BC ... By the end of the Triassic Period continental rifting begins to break apart the supercontinent.  Early dinosaurs evolve.

11) Jurassic Period ...  206-144 million BC ... North America separates from Eurasia and Africa. The Atlantic Ocean begins to form. Reptiles adapt to life in the sea, in the air, and on land. Dinosaurs are the dominant reptile on land. Archaeopteryx, the first bird, evolves. Early amphibians are succeeded by the first frogs, toads, and salamanders.

12) Cretaceous Period ... 144-65 million BC ... The continents are shaped much as they are today. Sea levels rise, submerging about 30% of the Earth's present land surface.  The poles are free of ice. Dinosaurs are the dominant vertebrate life form on Earth. Near the end of the Cretaceous Period, several mass extinctions occur, including the extinction of five major reptilian groups.

13) Paleocene Period ... 65-55 million BC ...  vast inland seas dry up, exposing large land areas in North America and Eurasia. Australia begins to separate from Antarctica, and Greenland splits from North America. Mammalian life diversifies, including early hoofed animals and primates.

14) Eocene Period ... 55-34 million BC ... Plate tectonics and volcanic activity form the Rockies in western North America. Continental collisions between India and Asia culminate in the Alpine-Himalayan mountain system. Antarctica and Australia continue to separate and drift apart.  Early forms of horse, rhinoceros, camel, and other modern groups such as bats evolve in Europe and North America.

15) Oligocene Period ... 34-24 million BC ... Tectonic plate movement is still very dynamic. Glaciation begins in Antarctica. Modern mammals become the dominant vertebrate life form. Early primates appear in North America, and early apes appear in Egypt.

16) Miocene Period ... 24-5 million BC ... Modern ocean currents are essentially established. A drop in sea level  isolates and dries up the Mediterranean Sea. Antarctica becomes permanently frozen. Mammal forms are essentially modern.

17) Pliocene Period ... 5-1.8 million BC ... The emergence of Central America changes ocean circulation patterns and coincides with the formation of an Arctic ice cap. Primates continue to evolve,  the ancesters of Homo sapiens.

18) Pleistocene Period ... 1.8 million-10,000 BC ...  Glaciers encroach and retreat  our times. At its peak, as much as 30% of the Earth's surface is covered by glaciers, and parts of the northern oceans are frozen.

19) Holocene Period ... 10,000 BC to present ... it is a period marked by the presence and influence of Homo sapiens. During this time, the glaciers retreat, sea levels rise, the climate warms, and deserts form in some areas.  Human civilization develops and begins to alter the environment.
2012 CODEX
What will happen in December 2012? There will be a fundamental shift and you need to prepare yourself, with your physical being...your mental energy and to keep yourself out of harms way. In the 2012 era environmental calamities will occur.  We are now approaching astronomical events not witnessed for the last 26000 years. 13000 year ago we had a planetary alignment with the Sun between the Dark Rift and the Earth. Major events took place with very few survivors. This time the Earth is between the Sun and the Dark Rift.  Everthing has seasons or cycles. The Venus transit will cause crustal distortions. This had a direct effect in 2004(Asian Tsunami). The next transit is 2012. In December 2012 the Earth will be rebooted, and mankind will have the opportunity to once again reinvent himself and society. This site will attempt to bring you information regarding a history of similar astronomical events, stories fortelling upcoming events from many diverse cultures, and a plan to survive and flourish the 2012 era.
The strange weather has started already. Large solar flairs have so far been on the opposite side of the sun from earth. This will soon change. Methane gas released fron the North Pole has increased by 33 % over the last 5 years. Global warming is no joke. An earthquake is due to hit both Puerto Rico and Yellowstone. The puerto Rico earthquake will cause a tsunami. Yellowstone has had thousands of earthquakes recently and is very active. It is time to start preparing for very disturbing weather. Do you have supplies to get you through an emergency???? Water, Power, and food will certainly help if you are in an active zone. The Earths magnetic grid is changing and is getting ready for a pole shift.
The Mayan Calender ends in december 2012. This is the end of the world as we know it. 12 21 2012 is the end of an era. The last doomsday event was 5200 years ago. 12000 years ago during a similar event there were only 2000 survivors. Educate yourself about 2012. Time is runing out. The Venus transit will cause great damage in 2012.
Every major religion has fortold the upcoming events. We will go into detail to peel back the layers in the quest for the truth. This is an epic time for those that are prepared.

During the Late Paleocene Era, aThermal Maximum (LPTM) occured 55 million years ago and lasted about 100,000 years. Large undersea methane caused explosions and mass extinctions. Could the
gulf of Mexico rupture and create a methane explosion that could change the face of the world  ???
